Risk Manager Regulatory & Risk Framework

Do you want to contribute to some of the most important elements of the risk management framework of the bank: risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification, risk appetite, risk reporting.

You and your job

As Risk Manager Risk Framework, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, coordinating, delivering a number of risk type overarching topics. You will work closely with risk specialists from other CRO departments like Credit, Operational Risk, Compliance and Group ALM and representatives from business lines, subsidiaries, but also Group Functions like Finance and Sustainability. Specialist knowledge is welcome, but overview and a broad interest in every aspect of risk management and how that relates to the core activities of the bank, is a must.

Practical Examples

• Prepare a discussion with senior managers of the bank on strategic risks for financial institutions you’ve researched in multiple publications;
• Coordinate the annual risk identification process, where we update our risk inventories and assess how severely they can impact the bank;
• Setting up and executing the double materiality assessment for ESG, as part of the risk identification and appetite setting process;
• Coordinate the annual revision of the risk appetite of the bank in line with its strategic ambitions
• Managing the Group Risk Management Committee, a senior risk management committees of the bank.

Responsibilities

• The team is responsible for risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification, risk appetite, risk reporting (incl. BCBS #239)
• We are a team with people that have broad banking and overarching risk management experience and assignment of responsibilities to individuals in the team will be based on personal interests, experience and availability

The Risk Framework team of approximately 7 people is part of Enterprise Risk-Regulatory & Risk Framework that focuses on various risk type overarching risk management topics. The team collaborates with a wide range of a.o. CRO domains, CFO, Group Sustainability and subsidiaries.

You and your talent

• Finance or Economics degree, preferably post Graduate level
• Banking experience (5+ years)
• Risk management experience
• Project management experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of a bank’s regulatory environment

• A gross monthly salary in the range of €4.848,64 up to €8.334,84 (Salary scale 10 or 11, the exact scale will be based on experience and seniority)
