Senior Specialist External Reporting
As a senior external reporting specialist, you are responsible for assessing the annual accounts of KPMG's new and existing clients and providing advice on how to substantively improve them. To this end, you assess the first review from colleagues or carry out this assessment yourself. These are annual accounts based on the applicable Dutch GAAP guidelines.

This is what you bring
- Relevant university education RA title or international CPA is mandatory
- Postmaster External Reporting
- At least 6 years of relevant work experience with accounting issues
- 1 year or more of experience with testing complete annual accounts
- Extensive knowledge of Dutch GAAP
- Strong analytical and systematic skills English and Dutch is an advantage

What will you do in this position?
As a senior external reporting specialist, you are responsible for assessing the annual accounts of KPMG's new and existing clients and providing advice on how to substantively improve them. To this end, you assess the first review from colleagues or carry out this assessment yourself. These are annual accounts based on the applicable Dutch GAAP guidelines. A Center of Excellence Financial Statements Team (CoE FST) has been formed within KPMG with specialists in the field of external reporting. The CoE FST is an independently operating and growing team with an open culture with a team in the Netherlands and India. This team supports Audit colleagues by reviewing complete annual accounts. The team consists of first and second reviewers.
The CoE FST is part of KPMG's Delivery Support Group, which supports the audit teams in various areas and thus contributes to continuously increasing quality.

The team supports each other through internal discussions about accounting issues. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to mutual knowledge improvement through substantive presentations. There is also frequent contact with the Technical Department for mutual consultations. You work on your own development by following training courses. You will work from the Netherlands (Amstelveen office), where working hours are flexible (in consultation). The position can be filled for 24-40 hours and working (partly) from home is certainly possible.
